If you are between the ages of 21 and 24, a young renter fee may be applied to your rental. Renters 21 through 24 years of age may also be restricted to specific car classes. (See exceptions below.)<br>If you wish to know the cost of the &#8216;Young Renter Fee&#8217; you may begin the reservation process to determine the exact amount of the fee for the rental location. Prepaid cards or any other non-credit cards without one of these logos are not accepted.<br>&nbsp;<br>At airport locations, debit cards are only accepted at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary. The name and address shown on the renter\u2019s driver\u2019s license must match their current home address. Active-duty military personnel are exempt from address requirements. Other than the Renter\u2019s spouse or domestic partner, no other additional drivers are allowed.&nbsp; If using a debit card for any amounts owed, the available funds in the account associated with Renter\u2019s debit card will be reduced by those amounts.&nbsp; Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.<br><br><strong>Gift cards<\/strong><br>Gift Cards are not accepted.<br><br><strong>Cash<\/strong><br>For security reasons, Midway Car Rental branches do not accept cash payments. We apologize for any inconvenience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-group box-accordion\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<h3 class=\"header-accordion h-large-three accordion-plus has-text-color\" style=\"color:#4f4f4f\">What are your driver license requirements for renting?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-group level-box-accordion\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>Customers must present a valid, unexpired government-issued driver&#8217;s license which includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted. The driver&#8217;s license must be valid for the entire rental period.<br><br>Members of the United States Armed Forces who are on active duty may present an expired home state license under the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>They present an Active Military ID.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are in compliance with their military extension policy of the state which issued the license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>International renters traveling to the United States<br>It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the States or Provinces in which they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental.<br>Customers traveling to the United States from another country must present the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Their home country driver&#8217;s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph. Digital licenses are not accepted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the home country driver&#8217;s license is in a language other than English and the letters are English (i.e. German, Spanish, etc.) an International Driver&#8217;s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country driver&#8217;s license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the home country driver&#8217;s license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (i.e. alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.) an International Driver&#8217;s Permit is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If an International Driver&#8217;s Permit cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, type-written translation may be substituted. In either case, the home country driver&#8217;s license must also be presented.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers may not rent a vehicle solely with the International Driver&#8217;s Permit. The International Driver&#8217;s Permit is a translation of the individual&#8217;s home country driver&#8217;s license and is not considered a license nor is it considered valid identification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers may be asked to provide additional valid government-issued documentation such as a unexpired passport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please Note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Photocopies of driver&#8217;s licenses are not accepted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learner&#8217;s Permits are not accepted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any license which, on its face, restricts the licensee to the use and operation of a vehicle equipped with a form of a breathalyzer apparatus is not accepted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temporary driver&#8217;s licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer&#8217;s identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license.
